6 Instant Beauty Tips to Freshen Up Your Look

1. Knock-out Nails!! Do a quick swipe over each nail with a bright color! Nice pop of color if you are wearing something simple, don't you think? I recommend crimson, aqua, white, and purple tones...

2. Ponies and Buns!!! If you have long enough hair do a high pony or a pretty bun. It's a great twist for hair if your wearing something dramatic... I recommend a high bun by flipping your head over and pulling hair together at top of head. Today, my bun was floppy and messy-chic :)

3. LONG Lashes!! Wear liner along the lashline to create an illusion of longer lashes. Also, layer two different mascaras. I recommend using the thickest mascara of the two first and then seperating and lengthening with the thinner of the two.

4. Perfecto Skin!! Wash your face every morning to get night germs off and at night to get all the day germs off. And take off your eye makeup! I recommend using an exfoliating sponge with your face wash. My mom calls it a Buff Puff.

5. Slick Hair!! After brushing your hair and styling it, slick back r to the side with a spritze of water and a coating of hair spray. I recommend using this technique with a pony tail so you don't get any flyaways.

6. Revved-Up Eyes!! Instead of doing your normal makeup routine, Use a bright shadow or liner like purples, greens, and blues. I recommend using a liner because if you aren't great at eyeshadow, you can make it too heavy!

Angelina Jolie-Pitt's Brave and Daring Style

Angelina Jolie. How does she do it? She has 6 kids, is married to Brad Pitt, shoots thriller movies, and of course, dresses totally glamorous. Why? Because Angelina has a wide spread of different pieces in her wardrobe from sweats to long, flowing chiffon gowns! (why isn't our wardrobe like that?!) For being a mom, she has a very fabulous wardrobe! If she is wearing baggy sweats, she's wearing huge sunglasses! Her wardrobe is very daring too from low backs, strapless, sequins, and anything you can think of that is wonderful. I am very exciteded to see what she is wearing tonight at the Oscars! Can't wait!!!!!!

Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend!

Diamonds, emeralds, rhinestones, rubies!!! Eek! Just like shoes, makeup, and hair, Jewelry is ESSENTIAL in any girl or women's wardrobe! You can wear a statement necklace with a crisp, white blouse, or a simple pendant with a patterned dress... there are endless possibilities!! But, one of the WORST mistakes any person can make is too "big" or too statement. You could be wearing a vintage T-shirt,  hot pink skirt, and a huge diamond and ruby necklace that is as big as your whole chest!!! But if you toned down that hot pink skirt, I bet you would look like a vintage sweetheart. Or you could keep the skirt and wear a simple little necklace. So, the key thing in this post, is keep simple and statement equal. Somethings I like to do is wear jeans, a T-shirt, flats, and some layered necklaces or lots of bracelets. Though in other cases, I wear a patterned skirt and blouse with a silver bracelet and hoop earrings. Sometimes less is more..
What's one of your favorite jewelry and clothing mix??????

Details are EVERYTHING!!!!

First impressions can be tough- "People care about people who care about themselves" - As Miss Congeniality would say. Who thinks she's right?
That includes chippy nails, imprecise makeup application, dirty and banged up shoes and heels, and of course, UNGROOMED EYEBROWS. Before going out to work, school, shopping, etc. you never know who you may run into- like your boss! So before going out take a quick look at your nails, (and toenails if your wearing open toe shoes!) Makeup, front and backs of your shoes, and your eyebrows. So, this is a simple way to make sure you look clean and gorgeous!
  1. Look around each nail and cuticle to see if there are any chips. I f so, take a quick swipe over each nail with a chip with the same polish... Nothing looks worse than one dot of polish on a nail!
  2. Look at your eye makeup to look for flakes, clumps, etc. Then, look at lips for sticky or too dark lips.
  3. Before putting on your shoes, look for scuffs, marks, salt, etc (if you have a mark on a black shoe, color it in with a Sharpie!
  4. Look at your eyebrows for any babies or strays. Take some tweezers and start plucking!
Now you can go out feeling confident and beautiful!

The Evolution of the Little Black Dress

Any woman can pull off a little black dress, though you can really make a statement when you find the perfect one. It all started in the 1920's when Coco Chanel invented the original LBD for a photo shoot in Vogue. Vogue thought it would become a simple dress for women of any class. Before the 1920's, black was considered for mourning. Because of so many people dying in World War 1 it became usual for people to be seen outside in black. Coco intended to make something affordable and versatile that any woman could wear. The little black dress is an essential piece any woman should have in their wardrobe. A simple black dress can be dressed up or down for day or night attire just as Coco wanted- a versatile piece. Over the years, companies have created more elaborate and detailed dresses. Now they have strapless, classic, halter, one-shoulder, and pretty much anything imaginable. They have a dress out there for everyone, what does yours look like???

Spring Do's and Don'ts

These spring trends make me want to just throw my winter boots out the window!!! They are kind of interesting... but I am willing to try them!
  • DO go head-to-toe in indigo ( very rich color, don't overdo it!)
  • DO try out the new neutral trend ( beautiful trend, hope it NEVER ends!)
  • DO liven up your closet with high impact patterns ( not too much though!)
  • DON'T forget to keep the rest simple when wearing a feather skirt ( as if the feather skirt wasn't enough?!)
  • DON'T wear too much novelty print (too much= ewwww)
  • DON'T stash those silver and gold pieces until date night! ( loving it!)
